My Favorite Things: March 2022

In 2002, I started PK with an email newsletter called “My Favorite Things”. I carried on for a few years but stopped because I just didn’t know what to do with it to grow it further.

To celebrate 20 years of PK, I’ve decided to bring back an abbreviated version of My Favorite Things by sharing five of my favorites for each month.

 Let’s get going with March!

(Note: None of these items are sponsored. These are truly things I’ve enjoyed this month.)

These Gummies

Squish Candies Good Vibes Tube

Squish Candies Good Vibes Tube ($25.50)

I’m trying to cut back on sugar but, every now and again, I must have a sweet treat and my weapon of choice is a fruity gummy. I recently discovered this Canadian brand (which I carry in my store) and I’ve been head over heels since I popped the first gummy in my mouth! If you’re particular about your gummy texture, like me, you’ll love that these are not too chewy and not too soft. Also, the flavors are <chef’s kiss>. I love the happy colorfulness of this tube filled with 16 individually wrapped packs with flavors like Sour Peach Hearts, Vegan Rainbow Belts and Awesome Blossoms. (You might get the opportunity to sample these soon if you are a subscription box subscriber…wink wink.)

This Puzzle

Pieceworks Birds of a Feather Puzzle

Pieceworks “Birds of a Feather” 1000 Piece Puzzle ($38)

Since the holidays, I have become an obsessive puzzle worker (official title) and must have a puzzle going at all times. Piecework Puzzles are so fun, chic and frame-worthy…I want them all! I settled on this one because it gave me 80s teen vibes…and that’s the state of mind I want to be in right now, thank you. HINT: If this brand is your vibe, you’re going to love the Summer Subscription Box.

These Peeps

Flocked Peeps

Flocked Peeps, Set of Five ($13)

I saw these in a local gift shop here in Lexington and I was simply forced to buy them. (I literally could not leave the store without them.) They are the cutest things I’ve ever seen. It’s a bonus that I can’t eat them since I’m trying to cut back on sugar. And yes, I’ll have them out all year.

This Book

The Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles

The Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles

I got this book for a book club and, full disclosure, I dreaded reading it because of the length and the time frame in which it takes place. (It’s just not my jam.) I even set a daily number of pages I MUST read in a day to be finished with it in time for our meeting. Well! I DEVOURED this book in only a few days. It was absolutely wonderful! And the writing is beautifully descriptive and poetic. I was captivated from the moment I started reading. It also made me want to read everything Amor Towles has written. I am an avid reader but have been in a bit of a slump lately. This has fired up my desire to add more books to my reading list.

This Chain

Cibelle Matte Rainbow Eyeglasses Chain

Cibelle Catena Matte Rainbow Eyeglasses Chain ($35)

I have been coveting and stalking this eyeglass chain for months…and months. I finally broke down and got it and it’s perfection. I don’t care if people think I look like a librarian or a hipster grandma (both compliments, by the way), my style is my style…and it’s always been unique and different. Annnd, I like it that way.
